Artist : Joeboy

Joseph Akinfenwa Donus fondly known as Joeboy whose is a fast rising singer and songwriter, was born on May 21, 1997 in Nigeria.

The versatile singer with music genre of Afropop, R&B, Joeboy studied human resource at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
He was signed by the record label, Banku Music Under Exclusive License to emPawa Africa Limited, the nominations joeboy has to his credit was “The Headies Award for Next Rated”

Joeboy grew up in a music Incline family where his older brother was in the choir and his dad played the keyboard in church. He was inspired by the likes of 9ice and ID Cabasa whom he used to hang out with in studio. Joeboy started singing at the age of 16 and recorded his first song “Gbeseyein”, an afrobeat tune, at the age of 17.

Joeboy later released Ed Sheeran ‘Shape of You’ cover which was well received both in Nigeria and across the globe. The song also brought him to limelight which made Mr Eazi discovered Joeboy and offered provisional mentorship.
